In any case, I've investigated the matter regarding Riven and noted my findings in the thread linked above. There could be others, no one s checking these. Nightcraw1er.488: That's the only one where a difference has been noted. That's the only one where a difference has been noted. I'm just checking for myself to see how much substance the claim has. There is one notable case where GOG has failed to update the installer without seemingly good reason and that's with Riven. The achievements are incorporated into the game's files, but again, if that's the only change, it's not worth feeding the changes back into the standalone installer. The difference with the former two features simply lies in a metadata file included in the installer and it makes little sense to have this included in the standalone (if you decide to import this into Galaxy, Galaxy will fetch the update anyway). There are a number of justifiable exceptions, namely when the update pertains to Galaxy-specific features such as cloud saves, the overlay and possibly achievements. _ChaosFox_: For the most part, games tend to get the same updates pushed out to the standalone installers that get pushed out to Galaxy.
